Have you ever wished your child could have a Tekoa experience after summer ended? Or been a homeschool parent who wished your child could learn in their “home away from home”? Maybe you’ve never been to Camp Tekoa but would like your child to have outdoor education, camp fun, STEM, and crafts as part of their homeschool curriculum?
Open to elementary aged students in Henderson, Buncombe, Transylvania, and Polk counties, Tekoa Homeschool offers morning programs twice each month incorporating outdoor education activities (compass and map reading, flora and fauna identification, conservation), STEM (gardening, cooking, hands-on experiments), crafts, and camp fun (swimming, zipline, climbing) as a supplement to individual families’ education plans.
This is a drop off program and Tekoa provides all staffing and supervision. The cost is $25/day, and you can sign up for one day or one month at a time, or receive a discount for the whole season. For more information, contact Morgan Morton at daycamp@camptekoa.org
