Elementary Day Camp

5-8 years old

Elementary Day camps operate
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Elementary Day campers are divided, based on their age, into co-ed groups of approximately 11 campers and are led by two or more senior staff or staff assistants. Camp Tekoa provides a snack and drink, as well as drinks for lunch. Campers will have non-stop fun each day! Elementary Day Camp activities are designed specifically for this younger age group. All activities are conducted on-site and may include nature hikes, scavenger hunts, devotions, challenge course, swimming, paddle boating, hayrides, arts and crafts, games, songs, zipline and more. Like our overnight camp, all activities are centered on our mission statement of "Touching Hearts, Changing Lives, and Sharing the Light of Christ." Keeping this emphasis helps lift up and encourage our campers in a positive way.

Each day, campers should bring a backpack and the following items: sack lunch, change of clothes, bathing suit (one-piece for girls), towel, hooded rain jacket, sunscreen, sturdy shoes and a water bottle. Please put your camper's name on sack lunches and other belongings.

Adventure Day Camp

9-11 years old

Adventure Day camps operate
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Adventure Day Camp includes all of the activities of Elementary Overnight Camp with the convenience of spending evenings at home. Activities may include nature hikes, devotions, challenge course, zipline, boating, arts and crafts, tree climb, swimming, field games, water games and many more. Adventure Day campers not only have the opportunity to participate in great activities, but they also have the opportunity to make friends with other campers who live in our local area. Adventure Day campers will be organized in a family group structure so that campers spend time with other male and female campers in their same age level. Groups will be led by two staff (either senior staff or staff assistants.) Camp Tekoa provides lunch.

Each day, campers should bring a backpack with the following items: change of clothes, sturdy shoes, bathing suit (one-piece for girls), towel, sunscreen, water bottle and hooded rain jacket or poncho. Please put your camper's name on all belongings.
