Where else can you hop on a zipline afterschool? Its a part of our regular program here at Camp Tekoa!
Active PlayWe believe in outdoor, active play! After a long day in school, camp provides the needed space for your child to run, play and laugh!
Our afterschool program has limited availability for Winter and Spring 2021. If interested in attending any of our afterschool programs or break camps, please contact our director, Alicia, at email@example.com in order to receive a parent information packet before registering. Current and Veteran LGO campers may

The "Let's Grow Outside" afterschool program is an extension of the mission and ministry of Camp Tekoa. Our mission is: Touching Hearts, Changing Lives, and Sharing the Light of Christ. Our goal is to provide children with opportunities to play outside as much as possible by utilizing our 135 acres complete with trails, woods, streams and a lake.
Traditionally, we offer afterschool pick up for several schools in our area for both elementary and middle school campers. We also offer break camp during breaks and teacher work days. Our program is designed to be flexible for families. Campers may attend every day, or once in a while.
Currently, due to changing schedules, our cost is pro-rated at $12/day for traditional afterschool hours bus pick up (or drop off at 3:30) until 6pm for the Winter 2021 season.
Our Tekoa Distance Learning program offers Extended Care from 12:30-3:30 for $3.50/day that afterschool families may also take advantage of during virtual learning to extend their day. Drop off and pick up are at camp. The LGO registration link is provided above, but the TDLA Extended Care option is available on the TDLA page at
As schools return to in person learning, we will be picking up from Hendersonville Elementary, Bruce Drysdale Elementary, and Atkinson Elementary. We hope to also add Hendersonville Middle School and The Mountain Community school to our pick up route as well.
