Stories of Generosity
"For me it didn't even take a second to decide to leave the fees in the hands of Tekoa. Camp Tekoa has been a special place for me since I was a camper and staff. I spent more than a year of my life there, spread across 9 summers. I was so eager to send my children to camp, and they love it so much, they can't wait to go back each year! The fees we spent for this year were already set aside for camp, and I can think of no better place for them to stay, as camp prepares for new activities and wonderful seasons to come! God bless you all!" - Joel Ebel
“Camp Tekoa has been a special place for our family. We went through an exhaustive search trying to find a place that we felt would give our children a rich camp experience along with instilling strong values and principles. Tekoa is that place. We knew we made a good decision when during our first drop-off day we met the young adults working at the camp and were blown away by the manners, humor and sincerity they all possessed… we knew our children were in good hands. We donated to Camp Tekoa this year because our world needs a safe and inviting place like Tekoa more than ever. If only every kid had a chance to visit Tekoa the world would be a better place. We need to make sure Camp Tekoa is around for generations to come and this is why we donated!” - The Dawsons
“I chose to donate my entire camp fee, back to Camp Tekoa. This was a very easy choice for me. Although my business is currently struggling, due to COVID-19, I feel that it is so very important that places like Camp Tekoa can sustain and thrive, for years to come. I know that my daughter is heartbroken, but I feel certain that she will have many more special summers, at Camp Tekoa, to look forward to. Many children never get an opportunity to be involved with such a special place. We are very blessed that our daughter was one of them. Hopefully, others can feel the same, and help ensure future generations will have the same opportunities." -John T.
"We are fortunate to not need the camp refund at this time and felt it was money best ‘spent’ helping maintain Camp Tekoa’s resources & support personnel for future camp programs. We are grateful to your organization which provides our daughter a faith-based experience of fun & fellowship with new friends each summer. We pray you and your staff remain healthy & are able to identify safe, viable ways to reinstate the overnight sessions next season." -C.F.
