Elementary School

Quest (NEW!)

Coed, 9-10 years old

Is your young camper ready to take their summer camp experience to the next level? Quest is designed for elementary age campers who are looking for a first taste of the awesome adventure programs we offer! The perfect hybrid of on-site and off-site activities, Quest campers will enjoy our climbing tower and lake zipline before they head off for some real rock climbing at local Gilbert's Rock. To wrap up their action packed week, they will enjoy a relaxing paddleboarding trip on the picturesque Lake Jocassee!

Middle School

Breakout!

Coed, 11 years old (Rising 6th graders)

Breakout is a great first step into our adventure program where rising 6th graders try their hands at rock climbing on our 40-foot tower, on-site camping, rafting down raging rapids and waterfall hopping in Pisgah National Forest. They also have a late night event on the Big Zipline! They truly get to “Breakout!” as they enter a new chapter of their lives.

Breakout Camp

Cascade

All Girls, 12-14 years old

Campers will enjoy a Tubing float trip down the Green River. Then they will explore Pisgah National Forest on a Waterfall Hopping day followed by a day Stand-Up Paddle Boarding on Lake Jocasee. Their adventure culminates in a Horseback Trail Ride through Pisgah.

Cascade Camp

Journey

All Girls, 12-14 years old

Journey takes the girls on a two-day backpacking trip, followed by a day of caving at Worley’s Cave. After returning to camp and enjoying the adventure of our high ropes course, the girls will finish their week with a horseback riding trip. Take the Journey!

Journey Camp

Explorer

All Girls, 12-14 years old

The week begins with the challenge of our High Ropes course, which features a 70’ giant swing. Explorers will explore the heights of Pisgah National Forrest with a summit hike excursion, tube down the Green River, and experience the thrill of rafting down the Pigeon! The trip culminates with exploring the depths of Worley’s Cave in eastern TN.

Explorer Camp

Leap!!

Coed, 12-14 years old

Come take the leap! This camp is all about taking a leap of faith. Campers will enjoy all of our rope’s activities here at Camp Tekoa, such as our climbing tower and ziplines. Campers will also be going rock climbing offsite and end the week exploring waterfalls at Pisgah National Forest.

MS Survivor Camp

Overboard

All Boys, 12-14 years old

This all boys camp will take adventure overboard! The week begins with an overnight fishing trip campout to a local lake. Campers then canoe down the rapids of the Green River. Finally, you finish your week paddle boarding in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Jocassee and waterfall hopping in Pisgah National Forest. Go deeper this summer! Jump Overboard!

Activities: Whitewater Canoeing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Fishing Campout- 2 Day, Waterfall Hopping- Pisgah

MS Water Adventure

Coed, 12-14 years old

Campers spend one day at camp enjoying all the on-site water activities Tekoa has to offer. Then they will head out to the crystal blue water of Lake Jocassee for a paddleboard trip and cookout. Campers will also go white water tubing and canoeing, and will also spend a day waterfall hopping in Pisgah National Forest.

MS Water Adventure Camp

MS Survivor

Coed, 12-14 years old

Campers engage in group challenges and competitions in order to earn supplies and valuable equipment throughout the week. Campers live at a primitive campsite where they learn how to make fires, prepare food, and navigate challenges. The week culminates with a “final challenge” day on Friday. Challenge, teamwork, and perseverance will be learned as campers grow in skills and in their faith!

Voyage

Coed, 12-14 years old

Are you ready to take the voyage with this new middle school summer camp? It has three amazing trips throughout the week, Caving at Worley’s Cave, Whitewater Rafting, and Inflatable Kayaking. Campers will learn more about themselves and God all along the voyage.

Blitz!

Coed, 14 years old (Rising 9th Graders)

Blitz! is designed to help campers transition to high school with plenty of challenges! Campers will explore the depths of Worley’s Cave in TN, climb our vertical playground, and paddleboard on Lake Jocassee. Campers will also rockclimb in Pisgah at Looking Glass Rock.

Blitz Camp

Expedition

Coed, 14-17 years old

Expedition is designed to allow campers the opportunity to spend the entire week on a five-day/four-night excursion through Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. Campers will spend two-days/two-nights backpacking, followed by an overnight canoe trip to a campsite on beautiful Lake Jocassee. The expedition will finish with a caving trip in Worley’s Cave in East Tennessee.

Ultimate Challenge

Coed, 14-17 years old

Ultimate Challenge is a non-stop, fun-filled week where high school campers participate in a variety of water, rock, rope and trail activities. The week begins with a rock-climbing trip followed by a three-day/two-night backpacking trip in Pisgah National Forest. Campers then enjoy stand up paddle boarding at Lake Jocassee.

Ultimate Challenge Camp

HS Water Adventure

Coed, 14-17 years old

Campers start the week with a trip to Lake Jocassee where they canoe to their campsite on an island. Campers will whitewater canoe on the rapids of the Green River and Tuckaseegee River. Campers then spend one day whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River.

HS Water Adventure Camp

Expedition Extreme!

Coed, 15-17 years old, 2 weeks

2-Ex is a rigorous and high-paced 2-week adventure through Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. Campers will spend four-days/three-nights backpacking, two days rock climbing at Looking Glass Rock, a day mountain biking in Dupont State Forest, and three days/ two nights canoeing and camping. The expedition will finish with a caving trip in Worley’s Cave in East Tennessee, scuba diving in Lake Jocassee and a day of horseback trail riding. Campers will be back in time to experience Tekoa’s closing campfire and candlelight service with all the other campers. You must be a rising sophomore in high school to register for 2-Ex.

HS Amazing Race

Coed, 14-17 years old

If you like Tekoa’s Survivor camp, then you’ll love Amazing Race! Much like the TV show Amazing Race, campers engage in team challenges, problem solve through competitions, encounter surprises along the way, as well as earn advantages and bonuses throughout the week, all while racing to the finish line.
